Beautifully crafted, elaborately handmade 4/4 Teller classical guitar, fully handmade in Germany. Built in 1965 by master guitar builder Horst Teller, the son of the company founder.
The top is made of solid fine grained spruce, sides and back of flamed maple, stained brown. Three-part mahogany neck glued lengthwise with a maple center stripe. Multi-layer decorative binding around the top and soundhole, and one-piece around the back. Fingerboard and tailpiece made of beautiful East Indian rosewood.
The only things we had to do was cleaning and polishing the instrument, polish frets, oiling the fingerboard and mount a new set of Pyramid nylon strings.
On the top there are a few smaller, but completely harmless playing marks. Apart from that, the guitar is in a dream state, given its 55 years of age. Machine heads, woods, gluings, frets, all original and perfect. Great sound, played for years. Wonderfully soft and gentle sound, assertive and fast responding. Due to the low string action it offers a very comfortable and easy playability. The Teller workshop, which still exists today, is one of the most respected brands of German master guitar building.
