Guitar cases from this period are much rarer than the guitars, because unlike today, it was not common for instruments to be sold with cases. These were an expensive extra that not everyone could afford and usually a simple leatherette bag had to do instead. Most of the surviving cases have obvious signs of use, which is normal, because protecting the instrument is the job of the case. But this one is like new!
Our case is an original from the seventies. The condition is amazing, obviously it was mainly used for storage at home and not dragged around rehearsal rooms and live performances. In fact, there are virtually no signs of use or wear. The outside is covered in black faux leather, which is hard-wearing and indestructible. It is lined with red felt and fits ES size thinlines - please compare the measurements in the last picture. The case has quite a large compartment for strings and accessories and is fully functional and intact. A key is no longer present. Overall a collector's item, the likes of which you don't often find.
IMPORTANT: The guitar in the last picture is only used as an example and is NOT part of the offer!
