Rare, original archtop case from the fifties. It is extremely sturdy and offers real protection, so no simple cardboard. Outside it is covered with brown faux leather, inside lined with turquoise blue felt, lightly padded on the sides. Under the neck is a small compartment with lid for spare strings or similar items. It has four clasps, three of them with locks, unfortunately there is no key left.
The case is in very good condition, with no damage on the inside and a few signs of wear on the outside. Overall, it exudes a wonderful patina while being fully functional. In the fifties, hardly anyone could afford such a luxury case, so this beautiful piece is very rare. Good cases from the time have always been much rarer than the guitars! Of course, it is the perfect, even functional, addition to an old archtop. You can certainly refurbish it (have it refurbished), but we thought it looks beautiful just as it is.
We have attached a picture with all the measurements. If you are still unsure if your guitar will fit, feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
